Tour Overview
Spend three nights in Cappadocia for the Red, Yellow and Green Tours, with Istanbul at both ends of the trip. Pamukkale, Ephesus, Troy and Gallipoli complete the route. Twelve hotel nights, domestic flights, a Bosphorus lunch cruise and two full free days are included.
Begin in Istanbul with an Old City morning and a separate Bosphorus lunch cruise. Fly to Cappadocia for three guided days: the Red Tour around its rock formations and cave settlements, the Yellow Tour through valleys and an underground city, and the Green Tour including Ihlara Valley.
Connecting flights take you to Izmir, followed by a transfer to your Kusadasi hotel. Visit Pamukkale and Hierapolis, spend a full day at leisure in Kusadasi, then tour Ephesus. An evening coach from Izmir brings you to Canakkale for an included hotel night.
The combined Troy and Gallipoli day covers the ancient city, the horse on the Canakkale waterfront, and the peninsula’s cemeteries and memorials. Return to Istanbul late that evening. You have a full free day there before your departure transfer.
This thirteen-day package includes twelve hotel nights, seven guided sightseeing dates and the separate lunch cruise. Days 10 and 11 combine sightseeing with long evening journeys. Compare shorter Istanbul and Cappadocia tours, or explore our Gallipoli tours for other routes through Canakkale.

Devrent ValleyWind and water have left unusual shapes in the soft volcanic rock. Look for formations resembling animals as you walk near the valley viewpoints.
Pasabag Open Air MuseumStone caps balance above tall pillars at this group of fairy chimneys. The carved spaces within some formations show how people adapted the rocks for shelter.

Hotel pickup for the Yellow TourThe tour starts around 10:00–10:30 and runs until approximately 16:00–17:00. The walking section takes about two hours.
Rose ValleyPink-toned ridges surround the valley paths. The walk brings you closer to the rock faces and their carved openings than the roadside viewpoints do.
Underground CityFollow passages between rooms built below ground for shelter and storage. The visit includes steps, low ceilings and narrow sections that can be difficult with limited mobility.
Lunch during the Yellow TourA restaurant break is part of the day’s included itinerary. Drinks are the only part of this meal charged separately.

Day 11Troy and Gallipoli, then return to Istanbul Breakfast, the combined guided tour, lunch, the Dardanelles ferry crossing and the evening return to Istanbul are included. Expect a late hotel arrival.
Checkout and combined Troy and Gallipoli itineraryTake your luggage when leaving the Canakkale hotel. The day covers Troy, the waterfront horse and the listed Gallipoli memorials, with a ferry crossing between the two shores.
Troy Ancient CityExcavations reveal settlements built above earlier ones across many centuries. Walk through the ruins while your guide separates the archaeological evidence from the famous Trojan War story.
Trojan Horse (Movie Replica)See the large wooden horse on the Canakkale waterfront. This stop is in the city, separate from the visit to the ancient site of Troy.
Sacrificial AltarsStone altars mark areas used for religious offerings at Troy. They add a view of ritual life to the city’s houses and defensive walls.
3,700-Year-Old City WallsLook at the surviving stone defences from Bronze Age Troy. The scale of the walls helps explain the effort made to protect the settlement.
Houses of Troy IThese remains belong to one of Troy’s earliest settlement layers. Your guide identifies the foundations so you can distinguish them from the later buildings around them.
Agora of TroyThe agora formed part of the city’s public life in a later period. Its remains show that Troy’s history continued long after the age associated with the war story.
Beach CemeteryVisit the cemetery beside the Gallipoli shore. Its graves bring the scale of the campaign down to individual names and lives.
ANZAC CoveThe narrow beach lies beneath the steep ground reached during the April 1915 landings. Seeing the shore and ridges together helps explain the difficult terrain.
Lunch during the combined tourA restaurant lunch is included within the Troy and Gallipoli itinerary. Drinks are additional, and dinner on the later journey is not included.
Ari Burnu CemeteryThe cemetery stands close to the landing shore at the northern end of Anzac Cove. Pause among the graves before continuing through the peninsula.
ANZAC Commemorative SiteThis coastal site provides a place for remembrance near the original landing area. Your guide explains its connection with the annual Anzac commemorations.
Respect to Mehmetcik MonumentThe monument shows a Turkish soldier carrying a wounded opposing soldier. It recalls an act of help across the battle lines.
Lone Pine Australian MemorialThe cemetery and memorial mark ground fought over during the campaign. The memorial commemorates Australian dead who have no known grave.
Johnston’s JollyVisit the cemetery near the lines once held by opposing forces. The close positions in this area show how little ground separated the trenches.
Turkish 57th Infantry Regiment CemeteryThis memorial cemetery honours the Turkish regiment associated with the defence of the peninsula. It gives the Turkish account a place alongside the Anzac sites.
The NekThe narrow ridge was the scene of the August 1915 charge. Its confined setting helps explain why this small strip of ground became so costly to contest.
Chunuk Bair New Zealand MemorialThe hilltop memorial commemorates New Zealand soldiers from the campaign. The high position makes clear why control of the ridge mattered to the fighting below.
Evening road journey to IstanbulThe return journey takes about six hours after the guided tour.

Practical details
Before You Book
The three Cappadocia routes, two free days and the final long sightseeing day.
- How do the three Cappadocia tours differ?
The Red Tour includes Devrent, Pasabag, Avanos, Zelve and the Goreme and Uchisar viewpoints. Yellow visits the Rose and Gulludere valleys, Cavusin, Pigeon Valley and an underground city. Green goes farther south to Ihlara and Belisirma, with Derinkuyu or Kaymakli and more viewpoints. There is some overlap: Yellow and Green both visit Pigeon Valley and include an underground-city experience.
- Which days are completely free?
Day 9 is free in Kusadasi and day 12 is free in Istanbul. Breakfast and those hotel nights are included. You arrange and pay for your other meals, local transport and any independent activities. Day 3 has a free morning followed by the included lunch cruise.
- How are Troy and Gallipoli combined in one day?
You stay in Canakkale the night before. Day 11 starts around 08:30 and combines Troy’s ruins, the horse on the Canakkale waterfront, and the listed Gallipoli cemeteries and memorials. Lunch and the Dardanelles ferry crossing are included. After the tour, the six-hour road journey brings you to Istanbul late that evening; the following day is free.
- What changes if I choose a Private package?
Land sightseeing uses your private guide and vehicle, with private cars for the intercity road journeys. The Old City morning includes your hotel return. The Bosphorus lunch cruise remains on a shared boat; its two hotel transfers are private, and there is no private guide on the cruise day.
- Is breakfast included before Pamukkale and the early flight?
Breakfast is included before the day 8 road pickup for Pamukkale. Day 4 is different: checkout is around 04:00 for the flight to Cappadocia, so breakfast is excluded that morning. Breakfast on the final day depends on whether your departure allows time for the hotel’s breakfast service.
