Gallipoli Battlefield AreasThe peninsula’s shores and ridgelines form the setting of the 1915 campaign. Your guide introduces that landscape before relating the separate sites to the course of the fighting.
Brighton BeachThe open beach gives a broader coastal view than the landing ground farther north. It helps explain the different terrain encountered along the peninsula’s western shore.
Beach CemeteryThe graves stand beside the sea close to the former landing positions. This compact cemetery links the campaign’s losses directly to the narrow coastal ground used during the fighting.
ANZAC CoveLook from the landing beach towards the abrupt slopes inland. The short distance between water and high ground helps make the challenge of the landings clear.

Lone Pine CemeteryThe cemetery and memorial occupy ground associated with the August battles. Your guide explains the fighting around the ridge and the remembrance represented by the present site.
Johnston's JollyTrench remains mark a place where the opposing positions stood close together. The stop helps illustrate the limited space and exposed ground faced by soldiers on the front.
Shrapnel ValleyThe valley climbs inland from the coastal sector towards the ridge positions. Its course shows why movement through this ground mattered for supplies and access during the campaign.
Turkish MemorialThe memorial introduces the experience of the Ottoman soldiers defending the peninsula. It forms part of the broader account of the campaign alongside the Allied cemeteries and memorials.
The NekA small ridge became the setting for the attacks remembered here. Standing on the ground helps explain how its narrow dimensions influenced the fighting.
